About ColdBricks

Welcome to ColdBricks!

ColdBricks is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) application built for the ColdFusion/CFML platform. ColdBricks focuses on creating and managing sites that are highly modular in nature; this means that in ColdBricks sites are composed of reusable components (we call them "resources") that can be used across different sections of the website or portal. Resources can be things like content blocks, interactive widgets, HTML snippets, skins, and RSS feeds.

ColdBricks differentiates itself from other Content Management Systems in the sense that you can create and manage multiple (and independent) sites and you are not restricted to a single site. Also, because of its design and the underlying architecture of the sites you create, ColdBricks itself is not required for each site to function.

Sites created with ColdBricksCMS can easily be extended and even interact with other common CFML frameworks. Additionally, ColdBricks itself provides an administration plataform that can be extended to add additional management modules to administer a site, thus providing a uniform front-end for administrators to manage all aspects of a site.
